Dr. Deepti Madhav Deshmukh is a dedicated animal welfare activist with over 27 years of selfless service to stray, injured, and abandoned animals. Every single day, she feeds nearly 350 stray animals and has provided free medical treatment to more than 22,000 animals.

While she does not hold a formal veterinary degree, her decades of practical experience have equipped her with exceptional skills in animal emergency care, wound management, infection control, vaccination support, and chemotherapy assistance.

In recognition of her outstanding contribution, she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in Social Work by Dulce University, Uganda (2022).
